On November 9, during his visit to Fictional Landscapes at Foundry Gallery, the Consul General of Armenia in Dubai Artak Avetisyan shared an extraordinary moment with the Armenian artists represented in the frames of the exhibition “Fictional Landscapes” which brings together 28 female artists from across the globe, featuring powerful works from the UAE, Russia, Iran, Armenia, India, and beyond.

Highlighting Armenian talent, the exhibition includes works by Mari Badalyan, Maryam Ashkanyan, Lisa Olshanska, Liliya Lee Mi Yan and Olia Brieva, each artist offering a unique cultural perspective.

On November 11, artist, art theorist, and curator Ara Haytayan delivered an inspiring lecture at Foundry Gallery, Dubai titled “Art of Armenia: Between Traces from the Past and Modern Narratives. Dialogue with the Middle East”. The talk led listeners on a journey through Armenian art history—from ancient influences to modern expressions.

Special emphasis was placed on the journey of Armenian art in the 20th and 21st centuries, highlighting the interaction between the Diaspora and Armenia, as well as honoring notable artists who helped shape the unique identity of Armenian art in the global visual arts landscape.
